Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to play. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

• Every quiz can be played with a keyboard. On multiple-choice questions, press 1 to 4 to answer.
• Right and wrong answers are shown with icons and text as well as colour.
• Results are announced to screen readers as you play.
• Buttons and answer targets are large enough to tap easily on a phone.
• The site follows your device's dark mode and reduced-motion settings.

Known limitations

A flag quiz is a visual game, so screen reader users can't identify flags from their images during a quiz (the image description doesn't give the answer away). We're adding written descriptions of each flag's design to its flag page over time.
